Smoked Pastrami Sandwich

This club-style Smoked Pastrami Sandwich is a flavor explosion on toasted marble rye. It features the peppery deliciousness of our homemade Smoked Pastrami and Baby Swiss cheese on the bottom layer. And the top layer is piled high with smoked turkey and Cheddar cheese.

Spicy Mustard
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1 chipotle chili, seeds removed
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
The Sandwich
  • 6 slices marble rye bread, toasted
  • 1/2 pound sliced smoked turkey
  • 2 slices smoked Cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoons spicy mustard
  • 1/2 pound sliced pastrami
  • 2 slices Baby Swiss Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1. Place mustard, chili and paprika in a mini-food processor. Pulse until blended. Refrigerate until ready to use.
2. Top a slice of marble rye toast with 1/4 pound of smoked turkey and 1 slice of smoked Cheddar cheese. Spread 1 tablespoon of spicy mustard onto a second slice of marble rye toast. Place toast on top of the turkey and cheese, mustard side down. Add 1/4 pound of pastrami, a slice of Baby Swiss, shredded lettuce and 2 tomato slices. Spread 1 tablespoon each of mayonnaise and spicy mustard on a third slice to top off the sandwich.
3. Secure the sandwich with 4 large toothpicks or small cocktail skewers. Slice into quarters and serve with cole slaw and a side of spicy mustard.
