German settlers in South Carolina brought a strong mustard-based influence to barbecue. So, whether you’re serving it up sliced, chopped, shredded or pulled, Carolina-Style Rub is a savory rub that works really well for ribs, pulled pork, chicken and brisket. Take the flavor of your meat up a notch with this dry rub next time you’re smoking, grilling or slow-roasting. Use all the ingredients or customize it to your taste.

Match the rub you use to the meat you’re cooking. Texas-Style Rub is ideal for steak, chicken and pork plates. When you have chicken thighs, duck, beef or lamb on the grates, go with some Coffee Rub. And for everything from rib eye steaks and prime rib to scallops and shrimp, you can’t go wrong with a little Cajun Rub.
